Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO)

SFIO has recently conducted search operations at three companies engaged in manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (EVs).

• Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) was established through the Companies Act, 2013.
• It is a multi-disciplinary organization that works under the aegis of Ministry of Corporate Affairs. (Statement 2 is incorrect)
• It consists of experts in the field of accountancy, forensic auditing, banking, law, information technology, investigation, company law, capital market, taxation and so on.
• They can detect and prosecute or recommend for prosecution in white-collar crimes/frauds.
• SFIO is headed by a Director as Head of Department in the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India.
• The Director is assisted by Additional Directors, Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, Senior Assistant Directors, Assistant Directors Prosecutors, and other secretarial staff.
• The Headquarter of SFIO is in New Delhi, with five Regional Offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai Hyderabad and Kolkata.

Exercise HARIMAU SHAKTI

• Exercise HARIMAU SHAKTI, is the 4th edition of India & Malaysia Joint Military Exercise.
• It will commence at Bentong camp, Pahang district, Malaysia. (Statement 2 is incorrect)
• Aim of the Joint Exercise is to enhance joint military capability of both sides to undertake counter insurgency operations in jungle terrain under Chapter VII of the United Nations Mandate.
• The exercise will focus on operations in the jungle environment.
• It is an annual training event conducted alternatively in India and Malaysia.
• Indian contingent comprising of 78 personnel is being represented by a Battalion of MAHAR Regiment.
• Last edition was conducted in Nov 2023 at Umroi Cantonment in Meghalaya, India.
• It will enable both sides to share best practices in Tactics, Techniques and Procedures of conducting joint operations.
• It will facilitate developing inter-operability bonhomie and camaraderie between the two armies.
• The Joint Exercise will also enhance defence cooperation, further augmenting bilateral relations between the two friendly nations.

Moinuddin Chishti

• Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, also known as Moinuddin Chishtior Moinuddin Hasan Chishti was born in Sijistan (modern-day Sistan) in Iran in 1141-42 CE.
• Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti started living and preaching in Ajmer after the defeat of Prithviraj Chauhan in the Second Battle of Tarain (1192) by Muizuddin Muhammad bin Sam of Ghor.
• His instructive discourses, full of spiritual insights, soon drew the local populace as well as kings and nobles and peasants and the poor from far and wide.
• His shrine in Ajmer has been visited by rulers such as Muhammad bin Tughlaq, Sher Shah Suri, Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, Dara Shukoh and Aurangzeb.
• Moinuddin accepted accepted Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki as his first follower, who established the Chishti order base in Delhi.

The Urs festival is an annual festival held at Ajmer of Rajasthan which   commemorates the death anniversary Moinuddin Chishti.

• Chishti Order (Chishtiya) – It emphasised the doctrine of the unity of being with God (wa?dat al-wujud) and members of the order were also pacifists.
• Chishtiya Order was founded in India by Khwaja Moin-Uddin Chishti or Moinuddin Chishti.
• They rejected all material goods as distractions from the contemplation of God.
• They abstained from connection with the secular state.
• Recitation of the names of God, both aloud and silently (dhikr jahri, dhikr khafi), formed the cornerstone of Chishti practice.
• The Chishty teachings were carried forward and popularized by disciples of Khwaja Moin-Uddin Chishti like Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki, Fareeduddin Ganj-e-Shakar, Nizam uddin Auliya and Naseeruddin Charagh.
