Koch Rajbongshis

• They traced their roots to the Kamata kingdom, which comprised parts of Assam, West Bengal and adjoining territories.
• The community was dominant and ruled their territory of Kamatapur during the medieval period.
• It was comprised of a large part of Bangladesh, West Bengal, Bihar and India’s north-east.
• They are found in Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Bihar, and in Bangladesh, Nepal and some parts of Bhutan.
• They were primarily animist, but later on they followed Hinduism/Sanatana (both Shaiva and Vaishnabhite).

Ahom Dynasty

• The Ahom dynasty (1228–1826) ruled the Ahom kingdom in present-day Assam, India for nearly 598 years.
• The dynasty was established by Sukaphaa, a Shan prince of Mong Mao who came to Assam after crossing the Patkai mountains.
• The rule of this dynasty ended with the Burmese invasion of Assam and the subsequent annexation by the British East India Company following the Treaty of Yandabo in 1826.

National Monsoon Mission (NMM)

• It aims to develop a dynamical prediction framework and to improve monsoon prediction skill.
• The four MoES institutes partnered for NMM are:

1. Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune;
2. National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF), Noida;
3. India Meteorological Department (IMD); and
4. Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS)

Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS)

• It was previously known as the GFS Global ENSemble (GENS).
• It is a weather forecast model made up of 21 separate forecasts, or ensemble members.
• The National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) started the GEFS to address the nature of uncertainty in weather observations.

National Atlas & Thematic Mapping Organisation

• NATMO being a specialized institution of its kind also engaged cartographic and geographical researches at national level, headquarter at Kolkata.
• It has the largest repository of spatial and non-spatial data processed with greater accuracy for delivering good quality products.
• To ensure precision and value addition, NATMO keeps pace with the most modern technologies viz. GIS, GPS and Remote sensing.
• Main Functions of this organization are :

1. Compilation of the National Atlas of India in Hindi, English and other regional languages.
2. Preparation of thematic maps based on socio-economic, physical, cultural, environmental,   demographic and other issues.
3. Preparation of maps/atlases for visually impaired.

• Recently NATMO has organised 40th Indian National Cartographic Association (INCA) International Congress.

National Digital Education Architecture (NDEAR)

• NDEAR will be beneficial for both Centre and States in planning, administering and governing school education as well as to teachers, students and schools for having a seamless digital learning experience.
• The institutional structure, governance framework, technology and data of NDEAR will benefit the entire student and teacher community.

Companies Fresh Start Scheme (CFSS)

• The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) launched the “Companies Fresh Start Scheme, 2020
• The Companies Fresh Start Scheme (CFSS) is applicable between the 1st of April, 2020 and the 30th of September, 2020.
• To facilitate Indian companies to make a fresh start, MCA has taken certain alleviative measures for the benefit of all companies by exercising its power under section 460 & 403 of the Companies Act, 2013 and introduces the scheme CFSS-2020
• It should be noted that Companies Act 2013 mandates all companies to make statutory compliance by filing Annual Return and Financial Statements along with various other documents on MCA21 electronic registry within the prescribed time limit.
• It also grants immunity for any prosecution or proceeding against the company for imposing any penalty on account of delay in filing documents.
• The Scheme also provides an opportunity to the inactive company to convert into a dormant company under section 455 of companies act, 2013 by filing form MSC-1 with nominal fees.
