Deendayal Upadhyaya

  • He is a political thinker, economist, and leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
  • Born in – 1916, Mathura.
  • Drafted concept – Philosophy of Integral Humanism (individual, society, and nation as a holistic unit, emphasizing economic, moral, and cultural upliftment).
  • Political life – He qualified for the civil services examination; however, he did not join the service.
  • In 1942, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a lifetime volunteer.
  • Literary works – Samrat Chandragupt, Jagatguru Shankaracharya, Political Diary, Integral humanism, Ekatmamanav - vad and an analysis of the 5-Year plans in India.

Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath

Nation unites in historic simultaneous Swachhata Shramdaan for the 3rd year.

  • It is a Nationwide shramdaan & simultaneous cleanliness drives.
  • Shramdaan – It means ‘voluntary contribution of labour’.
  • Conducted on – 25th September 2025
  • Places mapped on – Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) portal.
  • Participation from – A diverse spectrum of society, including local bodies, gram panchayats, political leadership, regional department offices, lead organizations, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), NGOs and citizens from all walks of life.
  • Aim – To focus on cleaning, sanitation and organizing with focus on sustainable environment under Swachh Bharat Mission.

Make in India

Prime Minister marks 11 Years of Make in India initiative

  • Launched in – 2014, by Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
  • Aim – To facilitate investment, foster innovation, build best in class infrastructure, and make India a hub for manufacturing, design, and innovation.

Vigilance Awareness Week campaign

  • It is designed as a comprehensive awareness and educational initiative.
  • Title – “GeM Ki Sunien, Satark Rahein, Zimmedar Banein,”
  • Launched by – Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
  • Objectives
    • To encourage buyers to adopt best practices, comply with rules, and leverage GeM’s in-built safeguards.
    • To enable sellers particularly last-mile entrepreneurs, startups, and MSEs from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to access safe, compliant, and transparent opportunities on the platform.

Government e-Marketplace (GeM)

  • It is a one stop portal to facilitate online procurement of common use Goods & Services required by various Government Departments / Organizations / PSUs.
  • Launched in – 2016, by Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
  • Objectives – To enhance transparency, efficiency and speed in public procurement.
  • To provide the tools of e-bidding, reverse e-auction and demand aggregation to facilitate the government users achieve the best value for their money.

Security

MoU to Combat Cyber Crimes and Financial Frauds

  • MoU between – Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND).
  • Key Highlights
    • Real-time sharing of Financial Fraud Risk Indicator (FRI) data, which classifies mobile numbers as medium, high, or very high risk based on their association with financial fraud.
    • DoT will share Mobile Number Revocation List (MNRL) data, including the date and reason of such disconnection, with FIU-IND on an automatic basis.
    • FIU-IN will share mobile numbers linked to accounts involved in Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) related to cyber fraud and money mule activities.
    • Information exchange will be facilitated leveraging advanced technology platforms like DoT's Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) & FIU-IND's Finnex 2.0 portal.
    • System-based exchange portals will enable secure, real-time data transmission between the agencies.

Financial Intelligence Unit - India (FIU-IND)

  • It is a central national agency.
  • Founded in – 2004, by Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
  • Report directly to – Economic Intelligence Council (EIC), headed by the finance minister.
  • Aim – To be responsible for receiving, processing, analysing and disseminating information relating to suspect financial transactions.
  • To coordinate and strengthen the efforts of national and international intelligence, investigation and enforcement agencies in pursuing the global efforts against money laundering & financing of terrorism.

Science

Coal Gasification Roadshow

  • Coal gasification – It is a thermo-chemical process that convert coal into synthesis gas or "syngas", primarily consisting of carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
  • Organized by – Ministry of Coal in partnership with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
  • Objectives – To deliberate on scaling up coal gasification technologies in India.
  • To develop suitable business models to promote private investment.
  • To advance indigenous gasification technology at a commercial scale.
  • Significance - India has set an ambitious target of achieving 100 MT of coal gasification by 2030.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)

  • FICCI is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation, the largest and oldest apex business organisation in India.
  • Established in – 1927.
  • Aim – To promote and protect the interests of Indian commerce and industry and act as a bridge between the government and the private sector.

Miscellaneous

Viksit Bharat Run - “Run to Serve the Nation”

  • It is a unique global initiative is being undertaken for the 1st time to inspire collective action for nation-building.
  • Launched by – Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS), with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
  • Organised at – More than 150 locations spanning 91 countries as part of Seva Pakhwada (17 September – 2 October).
  • Objective – To bring together Indians living abroad, along with local communities, students, professionals, and friends of India, to reaffirm their commitment towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.
