International Tipiṭaka Chanting Ceremony
- It is 12-day spiritual gathering along with the Commemorative Walk retracing the Buddha’s footsteps from Jethian Valley to the sacred bamboo grove of Venuvana in Rajgir.
- Held in – Bodhgaya, Bihar (the hallowed Seat of Enlightenment).
- Organised by – International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) with Ministry of Culture and Light of Buddha Dharma Foundation International (LBDFI), USA.
- Aim – To preserve and promote its timeless Buddhist heritage before the world.

POCSO Act
- Gender Neutrality – POCSO Act is for both victims (boys/girls) and perpetrators (men/women).
- Legal Basis
- General Clauses Act, 1897 (Section 13(1)) – "he" includes "she" unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Definition of Assault – Section 3 covers acts beyond penile penetration (digital, object, oral), committable by females.
- Legislative Intent – Ministry of Women and Child Development, and Statement of Objects and Reasons for 2019 Amendment Bill, confirm gender neutrality.
- Comparison with BNS – Unlike BNS (erstwhile IPC Section 375) which is gender-specific for rape, POCSO's wording is deliberately broad.
- Aim – To safeguard children from sexual abuse, irrespective of perpetrator's or victim's gender, addressing power imbalances.

- Achievement – It uncovered an organised racket involved in smuggling gold into India, melting it in covert furnaces, and illicitly selling the refined bullion into the grey market.

CJI B.R. Gavai highlighted Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's vision behind Article 32.
- Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's vision –
- "Rights without remedies are meaningless" – Objective Resolution lacked remedies, leading to Article 32.
- Social/Economic Equality – Resolution failed to address this, shaping DPSP (Part IV).
- Living Document – Constitution as evolving, embodied in Article 368 (amendments).
- Article 32 (Right to constitutional remedies) – Right to move the Supreme Court for the enforcement of fundamental rights including the writs of (i) habeas corpus, (ii) mandamus, (iii) prohibition, (iv) certiorari, and (v) quo war-rento.

- Theme – 'Leveraging Technology for Universal Modular Scalable Architecture for EW Systems'.
- Aim – To bring out the importance of Open System Architecture and its standardisation to make Electronic Warfare systems upgradable while decreasing costs and delivery times.

Exercise Garuda 25
- It is the 8th edition of the bilateral air exercise with the French Air and Space Force (FASF).
- Held at – Mont-de-Marsan, France.
- Aim – To refine tactics and procedures in a realistic operational environment, enabling mutual learning and fostering interoperability between the IAF and the FASF.
- Features
- India participated with Su-30MKl fighter aircraft.
- Airlift support by – The C-17 Globemaster III, for the induction and de-induction phases of the exercise.
- The IL-78 air-to-air refuelling tankers are utilised for extending the range and endurance of the participating fighters.

Minister of State for Power, launched the logo and website of the Global Energy Leaders’ Summit (GELS) 2025.
- To be held in – Puri, Odisha.
- Hosted by – Government of Odisha in association with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
- Theme – “Powering India: Sufficiency, Balance, Innovation,”.
- Aim – To drive peer-to-peer exchange among state energy ministers and anchor strategic dialogues with international counterparts.
- Significance – It reflects the Prime Minister’s vision built on 4 pillars such as Energy Access, Efficiency, Sustainability, and Security.

Siliguri Corridor
The Indian Army has established 3 new garrisons near the Siliguri Corridor.
- Locations –
- Lachit Borphukan Military Station (Dhubri, Assam).
- Forward bases at Kishanganj (Bihar).
- Chopra (West Bengal).
- Aim – To enhance security, given regional dynamics like regime change in Bangladesh and China's growing presence.
- Siliguri Corridor – It is a narrow stretch of land in West Bengal that connects India’s mainland to its northeastern states such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya, collectively known as the 7 Sisters.
- This land bridge, just about 22 kilometers wide at its narrowest point, lies between Nepal to the north and Bangladesh to the south.
- Its geographical fragility and criticality have earned it the nickname “Chicken’s Neck” in strategic and military circles.

World Diabetes Day
- Observed annually on – 14th November.
- Adopted in – 2007, by United States General Assembly.
- Aim – To pursue multilateral efforts to promote and improve human health, and provide access to treatment and health-care education.”

Diabetes
- It is a chronic disease, which occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin, or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin, it produces.
- This leads to an increased concentration of glucose in the blood (hyperglycaemia).
- Type 1 diabetes – It previously known as insulin-dependent or childhood-onset diabetes is characterized by a lack of insulin production.
- Type 2 diabetes – It formerly called non-insulin-dependent or adult-onset diabetes is caused by the body’s ineffective use of insulin.
- It often results from excess body weight and physical inactivity.
