Jatan - Virtual Museum Builder

  • It is the software for digitizing records of antiquities that are displayed in a common portal for the public view.
  • Inaugurated in – 2014, by Ministry of culture.
  • Nodal unit – Digitization Cell of National Museum.
  • Developed by – Centre for Development for Advanced Computing (C-DAC).
  • Integrated in – National digital repository
  • Significance – It helps in tracking its location, conservation details, etc.

Centre for Development for Advanced Computing

(C-DAC)

  • C-DAC – It is research & development organization.
  • Setup in – 1988, by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
  • Aim – To emerge as the premier R&D institution for the design, development and deployment of world class electronic and IT solutions for economic and human advancement.

Geography

Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP)

Phase II & III

  • Nodal ministry – Ministry of Jal Shakti.
  • Co-financed by – World Bank & Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
  • Funding pattern – 70:30 (External: Counterpart) for General Category, 80:20 for Special Category, & 50:50 for Central Agencies.
  • Loan disbursements on a quarterly basis.
  • Objectives – To strengthen the institutional framework for dam safety management.
  • To rehabilitate and improve dams, enhance dam operations, and promoting better dam management practices.

Economy

 e-SHRAM Platform

  • It is a centralized database of all unorganized workers to be seeded with Aadhaar.
  • Launched in – 2021, by Ministry of Labour and Employment.
  • Aim – To create a comprehensive database of unorganised workers.

e-Shram’s “One-Stop-Solution”

  • It integrates different social security/ welfare schemes at single portal.
  • Announced in – Budget 2024-25.
  • Integration of – 14 schemes of different Central Ministries & Departments.

‘MSE TEAM (Trade Enablement and Marketing)’ Initiative

  • Launched by – Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.
  • Umbrella scheme – “Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP)” Programme by World Bank.
  • Aim – To empower Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with digital tools and guidance to effectively utilize the e-commerce marketplace by integrating them with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).

Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP)

  • RAMP – It is a Central Sector Scheme supported by World Bank.
  • Nodal ministry – Ministry of Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprises.
  • Objectives – To improve access to market, finance and technology upgradation by enhancing the outreach of existing schemes.
  • To strengthen institutions at the Central and State level, and to enhance Centre- State collaboration.

Environment

Jalaj Centers

  • Holistic centres in Ganga basins – For overall community well-being, conservation education and livelihood trainings.
  • It represents the culture & communities indigenous to that area.
  • Established by – National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
  • Managed by – Ganga Praharis, as local community members trained as volunteers.
  • Features – Dolphin Safaris, Home Stays, Livelihood Centers, Awareness and Sale Points etc.

National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG)

  • It is an Integrated Conservation Mission, approved as ‘Flagship Programme’.
  • Established in – 2014, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
  • Registered under – Societies Registration Act 1860.
  • Implemented by – National Ganga Council.
  • Objectives –
    • To create sewerage treatment infrastructure & river-front development.
    • Biodiversity conservation, afforestation & public awareness.
    • Industrial effluent monitoring & establishing Ganga Gram.

Fit India Campaign

Recently, 35th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle, held ahead of Independence Day.

  • Launched in – 2019 by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
  • Objectives – To promote fitness as easy, fun and free.
  • To spread awareness on fitness and various physical activities that promote fitness through focused campaigns.
  • To encourage indigenous sports.
  • To make fitness reach every school, college/university, panchayat/village, etc.
