Devil worship

Nagaland Assembly will hold a special session to discuss the impact of “Devil worship” on the youth in the Christian-majority State.

  • Satan (Devil) – A figure from Christian belief who is also commonly known as Lucifer.

  • Promotion – Naga youths were being lured by a specific group with the promise of Rs.1 lakh or a two-wheeler to worship Satan.

  • Other affected state – Mizoram.

Nagaland

  • Formed in – 1963, as the 16th state under State of Nagaland Act, 1962.

  • Capital – Kohima.

  • Jurisdiction under – Guwahati High Court.

  • Christian State – More than 80% of its population identify as Christians.

  • It has the largest community of Baptist Christians in the world.

  • Key geographic features – Naga Hills, Patkai Range, Barail Range, Dzukou Valley, Japfu Peak, Mount Saramati and Subtropical evergreen forests etc.

  • It is a national-level online poster-making competition.

  • Conducted by – Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA).

  • Aim – To encourages citizens of all age groups to creatively express key concepts of financial literacy such as saving, investing, budgeting, and fraud prevention, making financial awareness more engaging, accessible, and impactful.

Multi Lane Free Flow Tolling System (MLFF)

NHAI Signs Agreement to Implement India’s 1st MLFF Tolling System in Gujarat.

  • MLFF Tolling System – It is a barrier-less tolling system that enables transactions through reading of FASTag and Vehicle Registration Number by High performance RFID Readers and ANPR Cameras.

  • Implemented by – National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

  • Aim – To enable seamless toll collection without stopping vehicles at fee plazas.

  • Significance – Reducing congestion & travel time leading to enhanced fuel efficiency and lowering emissions.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

  • RFID – It is a form of wireless communication that incorporates the use of electromagnetic or electrostatic coupling in the radio frequency portion of the electromagnetic spectrum to uniquely identify an object, animal or person.

  • 3 components – Scanning antenna, transceiver and a transponder.

  • Uses - Inventory control, equipment tracking, out-of-bed detection and fall detection, personnel tracking, ensuring that patients receive the correct medications and medical devices.

  • To prevent the distribution of counterfeit drugs and medical devices, monitoring patients and providing data for electronic medical records systems

Automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR)

  • ANPR – It is a technology that uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle registration plates.

  • Applications – Traffic management, intelligent parking, toll automation, intelligent transportation systems in smart cities, and journey time analysis etc.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)

  • Constituted under – National Highways Authority of India Act, 1998.

  • Nodal ministry – Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.

  • Aim – To be responsible for the maintenance and development of the Golden Quadrilateral, North-South & East-West corridors.

  • To provide port connectivity and for selected projects, including Naini Bridge, Hapur Bypass, and Durg Bypass, etc.

17th Biofach India 2025

  • India’s leading trade fair for the organic industry.

  • Launched in – 2009, it will be conducted annually.

  • Co-located with – Natural Expo India and Millets India.

  • Organized by – Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) with NürnbergMesse India.
