Why in News?

Recently, Ministry of Ayush take significant steps towards the global promotion and integration of Ayush System.

AYUSH – It is acronym of the medical system that practiced in India such as Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
International Cooperation Scheme (ICS)– It is a Central Sector Scheme.
Objectives – It provides support to Indian AYUSH drug Manufacturers/Ayush Service providers to give boost to the export of AYUSH products and services.
To promote and strengthen awareness and interest about AYUSH Systems of Medicine at international level.
To promote academics and research through establishment of AYUSH Academic Chairs in foreign countries.
Collaboration – It has established multiple international collaborations through agreements, institutional partnership and Ayush chairs.
The agreements between the Ministry of Ayush and WHO, various collaborations to enhance the credibility and worldwide acceptance of traditional medicines.

Standardised Terminology Documents	To establish a unified global language for ayurveda, unani and siddha system.
Benchmark Documents	To collaboratively produced Setout international Standards for practice and training. To Provide guidance on safety, quality, and competency for practitioners worldwide.
Global Traditional Medicine Centre (GTMC)	To address the global demand and acts as a global knowledge hub for evidence-based traditional and complementary medicine.
Integration into WHO	To integration of Indian traditional systems into International classification of Disease (ICD) and International classification of Health interventions (ICHI). To Elevating the status and recognition of Ayush systems.
WHO Publications	Technical report for training & Practice in Siddha and Technical report in Yoga.
Strategic development	To Supports the development of Traditional Medicine (TM) upto 2025-2034.
International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI)	Agreements signed to develop TM intervention categories and index for ICHI. To integrate TM practices into global health classification framework.
