Recently, India improved its ranking in the Network Readiness Index (NRI) 2025 report.

Aim – Assess network-based readiness and digital transformation capacity of countries.
Prepared by – Portulans Institute (Washington DC, USA).
Coverage – 127 countries.
Key Structure – It consists of 4 Pillars and 53 Indicators.

India’s Performance – Rank – 45th (improved by 4 positions)

Most Network-Ready Societies	1st – United States 2nd – Finland 3rd – Singapore 4th – Denmark 5th – Sweden Europe dominates the global top 5 with 3 countries.
Top Countries by Income Group in NRI 2025	High-Income – United States (1), Finland (2), Singapore (3). Upper-Middle Income – China (24), Malaysia (38), Thailand (44). Lower-Middle Income – Vietnam (40), India (45), Philippines (66). Low Income – Rwanda (87), Uganda (112), Malawi (116).

Findings for India – Ranked 2nd among lower-middle-income countries.
India has greater network readiness than expected for its income level.
