Partnership of MY Bharat & SOUL

Why in News?

Recently, the Government of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the SOUL to collaborate on knowledge sharing, capacity building, and youth leadership development.

• My Bharat – It is an autonomous body under the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, aimed to empower Indian youth.
• SOUL – School of Ultimate Leadership Foundation (SOUL) is a premier, privately funded leadership institution, established by a group of like-minded individuals.
• To promote leadership and empower relentless leaders with the values, experience, fellowship, and curiosity to advance public good.
• Objectives of partnership – To support 100,000 youth leaders in the age group of 18 – 29 years across India.
• Implementation – Through joint programs in governance, public policy, social entrepreneurship, digital literacy, financial literacy, and other domains.
• Timeline of MoU – It is valid for 3 years, and can be further extended with mutual consent.
• Activities covered – It provides design and delivery of leadership programs, organisation of conclaves & workshops, joint research, and capacity building of youth-serving organisations.
• Participant Selection – It follows a pan-India, inclusive approach to ensure representation from rural and urban areas, aspirational, tribal regions, women, and marginalised communities.
