• Aim – To celebrate the historic first ascents of 20 unclimbed peaks above 6,000 meters in Ladakh within just 23 days.

• Team – 20 highly skilled climbers from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang.
• Expedition Leader – Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal.
• Duration – 23 days.
• Location of Climbs – Chamser-Lungser, Gyama Nala, and Chokula areas of the Ladakh Range.

Digital Connectivity Rating (DCR) Platform

The Digital Connectivity Rating (DCR) Platform has been launched recently.

• It is an integrated digital portal.
• Launched by – Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
• Aim – To assess, certify, and display the indoor network and digital connectivity quality of properties.
• Implements – Framework under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Rating of Properties for Digital Connectivity) Regulations, 2024.
• Key Objectives & Need –
  • Indoor Data Focus - Addresses the reality that 70% to 80% of indoor mobile data consumption.
  • Transparency - Standardizes indoor network performance evaluations so buyers and tenants can check digital readiness.
  • Informed Infrastructure - Encourages property developers to integrate digital connectivity infrastructure (DCI) early during planning and construction.

Country’s 1st Victim Rights Centre

Chief Justice of India inaugurated the country’s first Victim Rights Centre recently.

• Establishment – on the premises of the Bihar State Legal Services Authority, Patna.
• Provides – Legal rights and essential assistance under one roof to victims of various crimes, including invisible victims.
• Operates as – A victim-centric case management system to track legal rights, set internal timelines, and coordinate with hospitals, police, and other agencies
• Launched as –  one-year pilot project.

Economy

Record FDI of $94.53 Billion in FY26

India recorded a record FDI inflow of $94.53 billion in FY 2025–26, taking cumulative FDI since 2014 to $843 billion.

• PLI schemes attracted rs.2.40 lakh crore investment, generated rs.23.8 lakh crore in production/sales, rs.15.2 lakh crore exports and over 14.6 lakh jobs.
• Ease of Doing Business reforms, industrial smart cities and ONDC are further supporting India’s investment, manufacturing and digital commerce growth.

Agriculture

Regenagri Initiative

Regenagri initiative to be implemented in south Indian tea estates.

• It is a UK-led international regenerative agriculture program.
• Launched for – Tea in December 2024 with the Indian Tea Association and expanded to South India via UPASI.
• Supported by – Solidaridad, ICA, and WWF-India.
• It is helping 50 to 60 Indian tea gardens and Maharashtra cotton growers transition to sustainable farming over 3-year periods.
• Combats – climate challenges like erratic rainfall, poor soil health, and rising temperatures.
• Enhances – soil organic matter, biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and resource management.
• Under the framework, smallholder farmers benefit from traceable practices,
  • 10%–20% higher yields, and
  • Lower input costs through Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs).
• The initiative is working with global textile brands to purchase certified cotton while distributing carbon credit payouts directly to farmers.
