Species Identification and Data Collection for Tuna & Allied Species
- It is a 5 days’ workshop.
- Organized by – Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) & FSI.
- Delegates from – 12 countries, including Japan, France, Thailand, Indonesia, and South Africa, along with representatives from 18 Indian coastal states and Union Territories.
- Discussion on – The need to revise the global tuna quota system, which India argues currently favors nations with historically higher catch levels.
