Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society (ULLAS) programme

PM shares an article commending ULLAS Programme for Transforming Adult Education and Advancing Literacy Goals.

  • ULLAS – Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram, also known as the New India Literacy Programme (NILP), is a centrally sponsored initiative.
  • Launched in – 2022, aligns with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
  • Implemented under – Department of school education & literacy, Ministry of Education.
  • Aim – To empower adults aged 15 and above from all backgrounds who missed formal schooling, helping them integrate into society and contribute to the nation‘s growth.

3rd edition of India Research Tour 2025

  • It is one of the country’s most ambitious outreach initiatives promoting integrity, inclusivity, and innovation in research.
  • Organised by – Springer Nature with Ministry of Education.
  • key pillars –
    • Promoting Open Access (OA) and advancing awareness of One Nation, One Subscription (ONOS);
    • Advancing Research Integrity and exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence in publishing;
    • Promoting diversity and inclusion through initiatives such as Her Research, Our Future;
    • Supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by democratizing access to knowledge.
  • Objectives – To support women in research, strengthens ethics in scholarship, and ensures equitable access to opportunities and resources.
  • Empowering women researchers and scholars is central to building an inclusive knowledge economy.

  • It is one of the world’s leading publishers of research and a pioneer in open science.
  • Aim – To supports researchers in sharing discoveries, helps educators advance learning, and empowers professionals to stay at the forefront of knowledge.

Desh ka Swasthya Parikshan

  • It is a campaign to reimagine health through Ayurveda, reaffirming India’s vision of holistic well-being for all.
  • Launched by – Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), an apex body of the Ministry of Ayush.
  • Implemented through - CCRAS institutions, Ayurveda teaching colleges under the National Commission for Indian Systems of Medicine (NCISM), partner institutes under the National Ayush Mission, and various state-level Ayurveda centres.
  • Objectives – To empower people with awareness of their health, encourage preventive measures.
  • To inspire the adoption of Ayurveda-based diet and lifestyle practices for long-term well-being.

CCRAS Swasthya Assessment Scale

  • A validated software tool designed to assess an individual’s health status based on classical Ayurvedic principles.
  • Objectives – To evaluate various health parameters through a structured questionnaire grounded in ancient texts.
  • To help participants gain awareness of key health indicators while encouraging adherence to appropriate diet and lifestyle practices.

Science

Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Panchakarma and Basic Principles of Ayurveda”

  • Organised by – Departments of Panchakarma and Samhita Siddhanta, All-India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA).
  • Sponsored by – Ministry of Ayush
  • Coordinated by – Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV).
  • Aim – To enhance the academic and clinical proficiency of Ayurveda practitioners and postgraduate scholars.

9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC 2025)

  • It is Asia’s largest telecom, media, and technology event.
  • Held in – New Delhi.
  • Organised by – Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
  • Delegates from – Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ireland, and Austria.
  • Theme – “Innovate to Transform”.

National Service Scheme Awards

The President of India, presented the MY Bharat - National Service Scheme Awards for the year 2022-23.

  • It is a central sector scheme of the Government of India.
  • Introduced in – 1969 during the birth centenary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi.
  • Inspired by – the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
  • Instituted by – Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in 1993-94.
  • Motto – “NOT ME, BUT YOU”.
  • Award - 
    • Rs.2,00,000/- to each NSS Unit (For NSS Programme Development), along with Trophy.
    • Rs. 1,50,000/- to each Programme Officer with a Certificate and a Silver Medal.
    • Rs. 1,00,000/- to each Volunteer, with a Certificate and a Silver Medal.
  • Objectives – To recognise and reward outstanding contributions towards voluntary community service made by the Programme Officers/NSS Units and NSS Volunteers.

12th Edition of World Para Athletics Championships 2025

Shailesh Kumar soared to India’s 1st gold medal at World Para Athletics Championships 2025, clinching the men’s high jump T63 class.

  • Held in – New Delhi.
  • Governance under – International Paralympic Committee (IPC), based in Bonn, Germany.
  • 4th time hosted in Asia – 12th edition in New Delhi, following Doha in 2015, Dubai in 2019, and Kobe in 2024.
