The UAV-based survey and the announcement of the first Dugong Conservation Center show a serious commitment to protecting this vulnerable species, especially in key habitats like Palk Bay and the Gulf of Mannar. Considering their regional extinctions along parts of the east coast, focused protection is more important than ever. Efforts like these, much like the careful strategy needed in Sprunki, remind us that long-term success depends on awareness, planning, and sustained action.
