NZP Saathi App 

Recently union environment minister launched the "NZP Saathi App"and inaugurated Self-ticketing Kiosks at the National Zoological Park (NZP), New Delhi.

  • Act as – smart digital zoo guide
  • Purpose – an interactive digital map and smart navigation system that enables visitors to locate animal enclosures, washrooms, buggy points, exits and other facilities.
  • It also offers thematic tours, including Express Tour, Family Tour, Grand Zoo Tour and personalised "My Tour" options.
  • The Self-ticketing Kiosks will facilitate online ticket booking through UPI-based digital payments with free Wi-Fi connectivity for on-the-spot ticket booking.
  • Strengthen – a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation among students and public.

Land Port Management System (LPMS)

Union home ministry is set to launch Land Port Management System (LPMS) on Tuesday, 9th June 2026 in New Delhi.

  • LPMS – It is a state-of-the-art digital platform designed to integrate operations across Land Ports into a unified system.
  • Underscores commitment to – smart border management and security in cross-border trade and passenger movement.
  • Equips land ports with – secure, real-time exchange of logistics and regulatory information akin to airports and seaports.
  • Ensure – End-to-end digital workflows for cargo and passenger processing, including slot booking, payments, tracking, and single-window clearances.

MCA21 Version 3 (V3) portal  

  • It is the upgraded digital corporate compliance portal
  • launched by – Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) in 2021.
  • Streamlines – corporate and LLP filings through web-based processing, AI-driven e-scrutiny, e-adjudication, and a Learning Management System,
  • it replaces the older downloadable PDF form (V2) system.
  • Significance – reduced processing time, minimised manual intervention, and improved ease of compliance for businesses.

PARIVESH (Pro-Active and Responsive facilitation by Interactive, Virtuous, and Environmental Single Window Hub) 2.0

  • It acts as a single online platform to submit, monitor, and approve environmental, forest, wildlife, and coastal regulation zone (CRZ) clearances. 

Features –

  • Advanced Technology – It uses emerging tools like Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping and advanced data analytics to assess the environmental impact of proposed projects scientifically. 
  • Know Your Approval (KYA) – It features a dedicated KYA module that helps project developers quickly identify the exact list of green clearances they need before applying. 
  • Faster Processing – It features automated workflows, such as auto-forwarding files if delays occur, to significantly reduce the time taken to grant regulatory approvals.
  • Centralized Tracking–  It enables end-to-end online processing for both central and state-level authorities, allowing seamless monitoring of project compliance.

Economy

India maintains world's lowest cooking gas prices

Currently, India maintains some of the world's lowest cooking gas prices, with general consumers paying ₹942 and Ujjwala beneficiaries paying an effective ₹642 per cylinder.

  • Despite a 46% surge in the international Saudi CP benchmark that drove actual supply costs over ₹1,600, India continues to absorb an under-recovery of roughly ₹700 per domestic cylinder.
  • Securing reserves by – the government boosted domestic LPG production by over 60%,
    • diversified global sourcing, and implemented 90% OTP-based delivery to prevent illegal commercial diversion.
  • India successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz crisis – by keeping its energy tankers moving to ensure zero domestic shortages and uninterrupted supply distribution.

APEDA Facilitates First Export of Fresh Mangoes from Jharkhand to United Kingdom recently.

Kuno National Park

Recently, Kuno National Park is making headlines due to the highly successful expansion of India's ambitious Project Cheetah and the remarkable recovery of the rare Caracal.

  • Location - Sheopur and Morena districts of Madhya Pradesh entirely.
  • It is a premier wildlife sanctuary spanning over 748 square kilometers.
  • Originally established in 1981 and upgraded to a national park in 2018,
  • Flora – tropical dry deciduous forests, sprawling savannah grasslands, and the meandering Kuno River.
  • Importance – gained international acclaim as the focal point for Project Cheetah 2022—an ambitious reintroduction program aimed at restoring wild cheetah populations to India.
