Ken- Betwa River Linking National Project
On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of former PM Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Prime Minister, inaugurated multiple development projects.
- It is the country's 1st interlinking of rivers project under national perspective plan.
- Located in – Khajuraho.
- Advantages
- To provide irrigation facilities to various districts in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh benefitting lakhs of farmer families.
- To provide drinking water facilities to the people of the region.
- To contribute more than 100 MW in green energy.
- To create many employment opportunities as well as strengthen the rural economy.

Implementation of National e-Vidhan Application for Digital Legislatures
- Currently – As of now, 28 State / UT Legislatures have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).
- Implementation – 20 of them have already transformed into fully digital Houses by on-boarding the NeVA platform.

TARAGIRI
- Taragiri (Yard 12653), is the 4th ship of Nilgiri Class (Project 17A).
- It is a reincarnation of the erstwhile INS Taragiri, a Leander-class frigate that was part of the Indian Naval fleet, rendering 33 years of glorious service to the nation.
- 3rd built by – Mazagon Dock Shipbuilding Ltd (MDL).
- Significance – It marks a major milestone in achieving self-reliance in warship design and construction.

Project 17A frigates
- Project 17A frigates are state-of-the-art and versatile multi-mission platforms, reflecting a quantum leap in naval design, stealth, firepower, automation and survivability.
- Designed by – Warship Design Bureau (WDB) and overseen by the Warship Overseeing Team (Mumbai).
- Aim – To address current and future challenges in the maritime domain.
- Features –
- Indigenous ship design, stealth, survivability, and combat capability.
- An advanced weapon and sensor suite compared to the P17 (Shivalik) class.
- Combined Diesel or Gas (CODOG) propulsion plants, comprising a diesel engine and a gas turbine that drive a Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) on each shaft.
- State-of-the-art Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS).
- Weapon and sensors suite – It comprises BrahMos SSM, MFSTAR and MRSAM complex, 76mm SRGM, and a combination of 30 mm and 12.7 mm close-in weapon systems, along with rockets and torpedoes for anti-submarine warfare.
- Significance – It is a symbol of Aatmanirbharta in warship building.

BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile
Recently, the India successfully carried out a combat missile launch of the BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile.
- Conducted in – Bay of Bengal, by Indian Army.
- Executed through – BrahMos unit of the Southern Command and elements of the Tri-Services Andaman and Nicobar Command.
- Equipped with – Advanced guidance and control systems, the missile demonstrated high-speed flight stability and terminal precision, striking its designated target accurately.
- Significance – The mission achieved all operational objectives under simulated battle conditions.
- It reaffirms the operational readiness of the Army’s BrahMos units and their capability to undertake real-time precision strike missions to meet emerging battlefield challenges.

Bioterrorism
Recently, the External Affairs Minister raised the threat of bioterrorism at a conference on 50 years of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC).
- Bioterrorism – It refers to the intentional release of biological agents or toxins for the purpose of harming or killing humans, animals or plants with the intent to intimidate or coerce a government or civilian population to further political or social objectives.
- India has proposed a National Implementation Framework that will cover “high-risk agents, oversight of dual-use research, domestic reporting and incident management”.
- Aim – To ensuring the non-proliferation of sensitive and dual-use goods and technologies”, and this has been supported by India’s strong legal and regulatory system.

- Observed annually on – 1st December.
- 1st marked in – 1988 by the World Health Organization (WHO)
- Theme for 2025 – ‘Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response’.
- Strong Policy Framework in India – Landmark measures like the HIV/AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017 safeguard the rights of people living with HIV and prohibit discrimination.
- Aim – To raise awareness about the HIV/AIDS epidemic, remember those who have died from HIV-related illnesses, and support people living with HIV/AIDS.
